I have an old pair of JBL home speakers purchased back in 1986. I believe the model number was 4312.I will have to look at them when I get to the storage unit to confirm the model number. The foam on the woofers has rotted out and would like to know what you would charge to repair them. I want to use original manufacturer parts or better if available. Please let me know how much the repair will cost and the turnaround time I can expect. I also have an older pair of Infinity RS111a speaker and wo

The JBL 4312 cabinets use a woofer with a treated fabric surround which does not deteriorate. The foam grills will rot out on this model however, and we use a special speaker grill cloth to replace the old foam grills. For the Infinity RS IIIa speakers, we repair (refoam) the woofers for $34 each.

Thank you for your quick response! the JBL speakers turned out to be L80T. Sorry for the misinforming. The Infinity speakers were correct. Is there any concern about alignment of the voice coil when refoaming the speaker? Another place is charging 250.00 for repairing the RSIIIa speaker and stating that the alignment of the voice coil is all part of the procedure. Do you do this when refoaming the speaker and is this a good idea to have it done when refoaming?

The JBL L80T model uses a 10" woofer. We charge $34 each to refoam this model. We re-align the voice coils with every repair and this is a very important step with any repair we do. Please see our "speaker refoaming" page for details on pricing and an outline of the entire procedure and all of the steps done for each repair. Also see our "speaker repair photos" page for before/after shots of various repairs.

I had a woofer in my 2001 Avalon that was very distorted and ruined the whole sound of my JBL audio system. I called Simply Speakers and they knew exactly what repair kit I needed. After ordering the kit and getting the speaker out (which was the hardest part of the job) I followed the directions and voila a very nice sound from the base notes. I knew it was fixed when I put on Huey Lewis "the heart of rock and roll". I will hesitate to recommend this company to anyone in need of speaker repair

I have had a set of Genesis Model 66 tower speakers for 20 yrs. I feared they were trash after all four woofers foam had rotted away. After they sat in storage for four yrs I searched the net for replacement woofers and stumbled upon Simply Speakers foam repair kits. Never knew that repair was possible. With the help of the repair video on the site I was able to resurrect my monsters with an easy install of the foam, and couldn't be more pleased. Even though the last woofer's terminal broke from
