This repair kit was recommended for the Optimus Pro 77 5" woofer. The I.D. of the edge was glued to the top of the cone due to a difficulty in accurate centering on underside of cone. The O.D. of the edge was barely large enough to be glued to the frame but could be done. Therefore I have some doubt of the kit being the correct application for this speaker.

I started out with 30 year old speakers. Great fit. No cutting or trimming. Now the speakers sound like brand new!

The Minimus 77 has an odd size woofer and this kit was the closest I could find that would fit. The roll width is a little less than the original and the other dimensions are slightly different than the original but everything was close enough to make it work. I just had to be careful to make sure the foam was centered on the cone. I can't tell any difference in sound after the repair.

Would recommend that foam ring attachment be only to the front of the speaker and not the rear as suggested (as the alternative method)in the instructions. Turns out to be a bit sloppy when glueing to the back of the speaker. Other than that, speakers work just fine.
Quick mailing. Still question why 5" speaker foam rings cost same as 10".

Speaker repair kit
Fit as advertised. This is the second pair of speakers that I have used a kit to repair the foam. Easy, and beats the heck out of buying expensive replacements. Works as good as new. Thanks!
