This repair kit worked very nicely with our Sony 6030 speakers. Printed and video instructions are very clear and easy to follow. The glue is easy to work with and there's ample latitude to adjust size and positioning.
It took me almost an hour to remove all the old foam and glue from the metal speaker frame but centering, mounting and installing the new foam went nicely.
After doing just one 12" speaker (LEFT), I reinstalled it in the cabinet and found that the bass was not quite as punchy as the original (RIGHT). The new foam is stiffer than the original but no biggy. However, I will do the other speaker shortly.

Great price and quality, but required modification
The foam is very high quality, nice and strong. The glue works great. Only problem i ran into was that i had to trim over 1/4 of an inch of material off the outside of the surround to get it to fit into the basket. I have speaker model ssu591av, however I assume I have some oddball version that used a different basket than what is common. All in all it was a pretty easy install just took a lot of time because of the necessary trimming

A real person.
I checked out a tutorial on how to re-foam speakers on the internet. I followed those directions and the installation went well. The old speakers are in my shop sounding unbelievable. The old Sony system makes the 30'X 40' shop rock. The sound is excellent for the space.

I have a pair of Sony ss-u6030 speakers, around 15 years old. Foam around both woofers was falling out just by looking at it. New speakers too expensive. Found out about this repair kit. Awesome...and had plenty of glue (I needed it, since sometimes I rush without reading all the directions). Both speakers now back in shape, and sounding good.
Also bought a kit for a pair of Boston A120's that were free. Also turned out well.
Now to get a kit for my old Boston A60's that have been sitting in the garage. Just need to work at getting the old silicone sealer off of the cone edges (what was I thinking?).

I watched the video and decided to try the foam repair kit. to my surprise it worked EXACTLY as advertised. my 25 year old speakers sound as good as new. or at least as I remember. I advise anyone trying this to watch the video as it was dead on accurate. I have recommended to my friends and will not hesitate to use again.
