Glue: Insert the tip of your glue tube under the outer lip of the foam edge to apply a bead of adhesive around the frame. Press lightly on top of the foam to distribute the adhesive. |
Center: While the adhesive is still wet, exercise the cone by pressing down evenly around the dust cap to center the cone and voice coil. Notice how the cone can easily be moved in one direction or the other to easily find the "sweet spot" where there is no scraping or friction of the voice coil. This occurs easily since the support provided by the new surround is now in place on the cone. |

Center: Place fingers above and below cone and exercise up and down as shown. Be sure there is no scraping or friction when the cone is exercised upward or downward. Press the new edge evenly around frame and let dry for 15 minutes. |
Gasket: Apply a 1/8" bead of adhesive to the top of the foam and install the gasket removed earlier (if applicable). Place the speaker gasket side down and allow to dry for 1 hour. |

Success! Reinstall the speaker into cabinet noting the correct wire connections to insure proper performance. Also be sure to re-use any seals between the speaker and the cabinet. If the old seal is damaged, you can use 3/8" wide weatherstrip foam tape from any hardware store to make a new one. |
