Kit for my 2005 Toyota 4 runner worked great. Repaired speaker in 1 hour-more time to remove old glue than to install new kit. Easy repair and 9 year old speaker sounds like new again!

8" Foam Speaker Repair Kit
As for the kit, it's very good. The foam is a good quality product. Installing it was another thingÖ
After watching the video it appeared to be a simple thing to do. Well not so simple much. It was much harder to remove the old foam and prepare the surface. The foam was disintegrated and did not want to come off of the speaker cone. The metal frame was easier to clean using some alcohol it all came off.
Now gluing this back together should be so easy, not really. The glue gets on your fingers and then you canít touch anything because your fingers stick to it. I used a bit more glue then an experienced person would and it doesnít look pretty.
When it was done it looked ugly but who can see it, right? The real test is the sound.
It sounds great! I have bass again in my car. Iím very happy!

The perfect choice to rebuild your original subwoofer without spending a fortune! Having done both new replacements and SimplySpeakers Re-gasketing, there is no audible difference! The re-gasketing process does require some time for the glue to dry but compare that to the factory $400 speaker, it's hard to argue!
The ordering process was painless, and the product was delivered slightly before expected. Packaged well with easy to read instructions. For those who don't like to read, there are YouTube videos that describe the process from start to finish!
Can I give 10 stars?

With out a hitch
Online instructions where very helpful. Installation was a little tedious, but not frustrating. Works well, not sure if I will get another 10Yrs out of the foam ring, but hey $25. is better than $300.
