To be able to find a direct "bolt in" replacement mid range driver for a 40 year old speaker was great. The sound is like the original. The mounting plate is much thinner than original and was not & cannot be countersunk to receive the original screws. I had some round head screws that I painted flat black. So not totally original but for my purposes fine. The original driver has front mounted connections and this replacement had rear mounted so I drilled a hole run wire through the cabinet face to the front mounted connector block. Filled the hole with hot glue. Taped over the wires with black tape and it looked sort of original. Again for my purposes fine, as I listen to the speakers and keep a grill cover on them.

The speakers sound very good - much clearer than the original ones that they replaced in my AR-3A's. Mounting them required moving the position of the mounting holes - the ones on the new speakers were smaller than the original bolts, and closer to the center. Not too difficult to change as the material is fairly soft plastic. Overall I'm glad I made the change!

AR 90 speakers

the Dome mid-range the plate was a little thinner than the original the holes did not line up with the old holes in the cabinet the holes were already a little smaller then the original so what a little ingenuity I drill the holes out a little bit bigger countersunk the holes for the original screws and use a rat tail file 2 oblong the whole a little bit now they fit in great and sound great took me all of 15 minutes
