Q: will this tweeter fit the large advent?,,, with the fried egg tweeters,,,and if so what mods would i have to do?

A: Yes, but you must re-drill the mounting holes in the cabinet for the 4 wood screws. On some versions you may also need to enlarge the hole cut-out for the magnet.

Q: Will this 85c000017 tweeter direct fit into the existing heritage bezel plate?

A: This unit is larger. Your original tweeter is 3-7/8" x 4-1/2". This unit is 4-1/2" x 6-1/2". Functionally, this tweeter works perfectly in your system however, so if you don't mind modifying the cabinet to fit the new unit, this is a great choice.

A: Yes, this unit will have the same specs as the P85C00019 which was designed for the original Advent. Primary difference is the face plate size.
