the glue is a bit tricky, kind of runny at the first 2 minutes, then turn very sticky. So you better practice it first, otherwise the first repair won't be nice.

The process is tedious, no way out of this. The foam fits, the glue makes rather instant bond (good). The edge foam on these small speakers is not so easy; there is little room and getting glue under the narrow edge requires care; again, no way out. I did 8 speakers in my old Pentas. they now sound great! Simply speakers products also fixed my CX100's (4speakers). Their product works. If I can do it, so can you!

Top Line: Excellent product, precise cut and fit, IMHO, could not be any better surrounds for speaker repair. As was suggested by the instructions, I SHOUDA READ MORE AND WATCHED THE VIDEO'S..!! The glue is superb for the purpose, but man is that stuff MESSY AND STICKY..!! It will stick to the point of a razor knife! Also did not "clearly" understand to clear the glue from the tip, on opening. The first of the eight 3 inchers was not pretty at all, but did actually seat well. On seating, I could only imagine applying glue to the surround first, would lead to a disaster. I applied glue to the cone tip, front and back (q-tip) or (cotton bud) if you're British. Then with the tip itself, placed a bead on the housing lip indent. The surround outer overlap is minimal and should be centered for maximum strength. The first surround did not place uniformly around the perimeter. On subsequent speakers, I centered the surrounds before gluing, and placed four dots on the cone , with a fine point marker for centering. Then I applied the glue as above. Be very precise on the landings..!! All eight 3 inch speakers were repaired, still mounted in the Penta cabinets. As stated, the glue dries clear, so 7 of them look factory, but the first one is a bit lumpy around the edges. Now, I feel certain they will sound superb, but won't know until I complete the amp and crossover circuit board parts kit upgrade. I'm sure all this will be worth it as the bass section still works and these B&O cabinets completely awesome..!! Mange tusind tak!
