Bose Style Woofer, Bose 501, InterAudio 10", W-1050

I received my order of a pair of replacement woofers from our Bose 501 speakers a few days ago. Upon installation they looked a bit different than the originals but seemed to be better. They have a heavier magnet and more throw than the the originals I took out. Upon powering the new ones up I was absolutely blown away. I’ve owned these 501’s since they were new (1983) and they have never sounded this way. WOW! These replacements knock the socks off the originals. Every since our 501s were new the original woofer seemed to have problem with the bobbin knocking the magnet under heavy load. It sounded really bad! Your replacements have none of this problem. They create “punch” like I’ve never heard from the 501s. Wow, Wow, Wow is all I can say! Thank you very much for offering these great speakers. They have made our Bose 501s sing (and now properly) again.

I purchased 2 of these speakers to replace the worn out originals in a pair of Bose 501's. I found these speakers to be virtually identical to the original Bose woofers and the sound coming from the 501's is as crystal clear as it ever was. I would recommend this item as a replacement speaker.

loved the speakers, just like the originals very happy with the purchase.

The replacement speaker is awesome and fits perfectly. The sound is great, both soft and loud. I am a novice and everything went in easily. However, I could have used (2) pieces of information: Which wire goes to which connection; and the fact that I needed crimp connectors for the best fit. Otherwise, all good!

Recently bought a pair of vintage Bose 501's and the foam was totally gone from age, was just going to order the foam replacement and repair but found that the cost of just replacing the whole woofer in the speakers was a great buy. They sound better than the originals ever thought about. Great buy, will definitely buy again if I ever need speaker parts.

Love the Bose replacement speaker. Fit and installed nicely. I could not get a Bose replacement speaker in my area ten years ago and replaced it with a similar Pioneer replacement speaker. I am giving the replacement speaker only four star rating as the Pioneer still sounds better than the replacement and it is already nine years old in the cabinet. My Bose 501's are probably the original series one originally purchased in 1980.
