Replacement Woofers

Excellent replacement woofer for an old pair of Boston Acoustics A40 Series II speakers that needed them. Reasonable price, easy to install, fast shipment. Couldn't be more pleased!

Great Speakers

Speakers are a direct replacement for the original. Boston Acoustics. They sound great and took no time at all to install.

Some Modifications Needed

Used in an older set of Boston Acoustics BA-360 wall mounts. Fits perfectly, and sounds great. However, the positive and negative tabs on the woofer are reversed from the original component. This requires splicing a new length of wire from the positive terminal to the circuit board. Not a particularly difficult job, but necessary. Otherwise, no problem.

Fantastic

Replaced a speaker with a degraded cone, and the replacement made me realize how the pair speaker had fallen off even though the foam hadn't fully given way. Clear, musical, and great bass response. Based on my experience, I'd recommend replacing in pairs.

Great option for direct replacement

After messing up a refoam job years ago I put my Boston Acoustics A40s Series II on the shelf. I decided to get these replacement woofers to avoid the work of refoaming again, and I could not be happier. After about 10 hours of moderate volume listening these woofers are really breaking in well and sound fantastic. I highly recommend! One thing worth noting is that the dust caps are slightly transparent unlike the OEM dust caps.

Boston Acoustic Speakers

I needed to replace 30 year old Boston Acoustic speakers from component stereo system as both speakers were blown. Simply Speakers messaging service was excellent providing information needed to ensure the new replacement speakers were compatible. New speakers sound fantastic and fit perfectly. Would definitely use this company again.
