Cone: 12" red foam edge, smooth curvilinear cone
Voice Coil: 2", 2 layer, copper wire, Kapton former, 4 ohms, Re: 3.7 ohms
Spider: 5.875" x .1875" cup
Dust Cap: 4.5" felt
Gasket: 12" rubitex (4 section) (Can also re-use original plastic trim gasket)

Recone kits include centering shim, instructions, and high power lead-wire
All recone kits are designed to meet or exceed the original specifications

Great Package!

Great Product

Product was delivered by estimated date. It came with everything it was supposed to, including easy to follow step-by-step instructions with pictures. This was my first time ever reconing a speaker and it turned out extremely well thanks to this product.

Cerwin Vega AT-12 Rocking Again!

Needed to recone two old CV's that were owned by two of my dear departed buddies. This kit was the key to get the party speakers breathing once again. Fitment was right on and the coils matched perfectly. If you are a handy DIY type of guy/gal this kit will make you proud of your work. One suggestion... Performing the repair on two woofers at the same time, find some slower curing epoxy so you have increased time to properly align the cones when attaching to the voice coils.

Restored!!!

This kit let me restore my at-12 to great working condition. My only grief with this kit is that the dust cap is not the same diameter as the original. However, with some careful cutting I was able to reuse the original so the look is much closer to the other speaker of the pair. Thanks Simply Speakers!!

Perfecto !

The idea of resurrecting my 30 year old Cerwin Vega AT-12's was intriguing. This product worked great. The personal service that I received helped me achieve a great result. The best customer service - that many companies strive for, Simply Speakers delivers. My only regret, I got rid of my CW 19Ps that I bought as a teenager.... would have loved to have done the same with them.

Cerwin Vega AT-12 Recone Kit

Nice cones, thicker than originals- Had to cut voicecoil tubes down to match length of originals- Have to be VERY careful doing that- Recommend soldering flex wire to voicecoil leads BEFORE gluing spider to cage- Also, put 4 tacks of epoxy on spider to voicecoil tube after marking original depth- This maintains proper position when gluing cone to spider- Also recommend using calipers to check voicecoil tube for out-of-round condition- Thanks, Walter

Outstanding product

I have a pair of AT-12 CV that have been in my possession since about 2004. I inherited them from an old roommate that used them all the time for house parties. There were many a good time had with them. He gave them to me when he moved out west. Time passed and they got put into storage in 2006. Fast forward to a few months ago and I wanted to get them and use them again only to find that rats had gotten to them and eaten up both of the cones and foam. I was so happy to find this kit available. The speakers are back and in better shape than they were and they sound amazing. The instructions were very helpful, although I do recommend searching youtube for a few of the videos of people re-coning these speakers. If you are a first timer (like I was) it was very helpful to see someone go through the process.

Rebuilt my cerwin vega AT-80s woofers with this kit. Could not be any happier. Fit perfectly. Just be patient with recommend steps, it's well worth it.

Q: Hi I'm interested in buying 2xAT12 repair kits for cervin Vega speakers and I would like to know which glue I have to buy to repair my speakers or does it come with repair kit ? Also can you let me know how much in total it will cost me for 2 repair kits, glue an all in price with deliver ,shipping ,a total price so I can order this and I won't get a hiding cost when I get them delivered to the UK which is where I live thank you please can you let me know yours Emma Williamson
