Voice Coil: 1.5", 2 layer, copper wire, Kapton former, 4 ohms, Re: 3.8 ohms
Spider: 5.125" x .1875" cup or 4.25" x .4375" cup
Dust Cap: 2.75" felt
Gasket: 8" chip (1 piece)

Recone kits include centering shim, instructions, and high power lead-wire

Sounds great

Rebuilt 2 at8's. I guess I have an older frame size and I needed a different size spider. I emailed and they new exactly what I was talking about and sent the new ones right away. I had never done this before and the online video was helpful. Speakers sound like new again. I'm very happy. Thanks

Q: I have a pair of AT-8 cerwin vegas .Bought them new. Want to recone one as it has tear in spider . Manufacture date 1989 Brochure says they are a 6 ohm speaker. Can I use your 4 ohm kit without issues?

A: Yes, the AT8 woofers are actually rated at 4 ohms. The overall cabinet impedance is 6 ohms.

Q: Hi, my Cerwin Vega speakers are D-1 and 8 inch diameter, but the resistance is 8 Ohms. Do you have a kit that's compatible? Thanks.

A: The D1 uses the 81W4 woofer which is 4 ohms. The overall cabinet impedance is rated at 6 ohms, but the woofer is 4 ohms when measured outside of the system. Link to 81W4 kit: http://www.simplyspeakers.com/cerwin-vega-speaker-recone-kit-81w4-rk-cv81w4.html
