Works geat, easy to do, great video

I had previously acquired a pair of DQ-10'S and the Woofer foams were rotted and needed a re-foam performed. I 've never attempted doing a re-foam, but a friend of mine informed me to contact "Simply Speakers", as they are very knowledgeable and could help me out with everything that I would need to conduct a re-foam on the DQ'S. I purchased the re-foam kit and re-foamed the DQ'S as they recommended in their instruction pamphlets. I was a little nervous as the glue sticks instantly and was afraid of screwing it up. Went to U-Tube and followed their video and Lord and behold all worked out very professionally I might add. The parts were high quality and the shipping was super fast. Will continue to do business with "Simply Speakers", and have made them my first choice when it comes to re-foaming other speakers that I will attempt in the near future. It was SO easy to replace the foam surround on my DQ20's I couldn't believe it. The SOUND is back!!! The video showing how to do it was simple, detailed, direct, really well done and careful and quickly got me over my fear of "OMG what if I mess up the cones or the coils." Best "how to" video I've seen. No problem at all and for very little money and time. Beats the last time I had this done at a local speaker shop for about $200! John - Minneapolis

These worked perfectly! My DQ 20's are singing again. I had watched the youtube video on the Advent woofer (same as DQ-20) prior to ordering. Using those techniques, they came out great. Total time was approx 2.5 hours. Most of that time was drying time (2 hours total each woofer in the 2 stages). Did one then the other. Cleaned and glued first phase in driver one, set to dry and cleaned and glued second driver. Doing this seemed most efficient. I was a bit scared of using a razor knife being the first time, so I used a fairly dull paring knife to scrape the old stuff away. Maybe a little more scrapping but I had peace of mind. Great product. Saved my 30 year old treasures. Years and years of tweaking ahead of me for that perfect sound and stage. ;)

Product came on time and in good condition. This was a fun project. The video was a great help to give me the confidence to do this project. The foam fit my speakers perfectly and they sound great.

I found Simply Speakers.com via an internet search and ordered their Speaker Foam Repair Kit FSK-10F. The two best things about the kit were (1)the quality of the product and (2) the quality of the instructions. Take your time, exactly follow the step by step instructions, and you will end up with a result that looks and sounds as good as when your speakers were new. If I can do it, so can you. It will be the best $27 you ever spent.

The ordered kit arrived quickly and the packaging was adequate. The instructions were straight forward an installation was easy. The net result was the drivers have returned to near original specification [± 5%]. Please consider developing a repair kit for the Phillips AD5060W8 driver [rubber surround, cone and dust cap]. I used the new surrounds on my Dahlquist DQ 20`s and they worked great. The how to video showed me exactly the right way to approach the job and it worked out perfectly

The surrounds I was sent had a much larger outer ring on them than those in the video. A little extra work is required to get them down below the Masonite, with glue spread, so that they can then come back up and attach to the Masonite's under side. As the glue has enough working time it's OK but I'm glad I did a dry run beforehand. The woofers sound fine now and I imagine pretty close to what they once were. Since I have not listened to them in over twenty years I can't really say what that was - but I'm glad I did it anyway.

As is with most everything nowadays when looking for a particular item you Google it up and most likely your browser takes you to Amazon or eBay giving one numerous choices and sites that offer what ever it is your searching for. In my case it was for speaker repair kits, and a Toyota 7" JBL woofer in particular that led me to Simply Speakers web site. I ordered it up and when it arrived I sat and watched the video and read the very through and detailed instructions written in real ENGLISH and not some translated, broken Chinese English crossover that you can never understand. I was impressed, which is hard to do. Anyway, I followed the instructions to the letter and repaired the speakers where they sounded as if brand new, saving my customer a good chunk of dough. So, this customer of mine who I repaired his speakers happened to mention to his neighbor what I had done and so his neighbor called me and asked me if I would look at his Dalquist DQ-10 home speakers and determine if a surround repair was possible? The first thing I did is go to Simply Speakers web site and there the kit was along with the sing along video. So I ordered up the FSK-10F and when the kit arrived I read the instructions and watched again the video and followed along. Again,the magic happened, and the speakers, after many years sitting quietly in storage now become a focal point and center stage in his home and he couldn't be more pleased. It's nice to see a Physician giddy like a school girl over speakers he purchased while in residency. I attribute all this happiness and sonic renewal bliss to "Simply Speakers" and how they walk you thru the speaker renewal process and more importantly how each speaker/video/instructions are speaker specific and not a "one size fits all". That is the sign to a company who not only KNOWS their craft but more importantly CARES about doing the repair correctly. It ain't rocket science but it isn't "do you want fries with your order" either. By the way I manage a very busy car audio store and know something about speakers and am now a disciple of Simply Speakers and most likely after a few more repairs making customers happy an Apostle.
