Singer Songwriter

I had a woofer cone blow out on a ZX1-90. I ordered this woofer as a replacement. Before I put this speaker in, I took some epoxy glue to the hairline crack at one far edge of the cone that had been blown out. It worked and so far so good. Maybe 8 hours and counting on repaired cone. However I'm glad I got this woofer. It came on time which would have saved me if repair had not worked. Feels very comforting to now have a spare in the barn. ZX1-90's are nice speakers for smaller venues and for monitors. Electro-Voice speakers are premium. I've had two Eliminator 1's (horn loaded base reflex speakers) for 35+ years - STILL GOING STRONG - clean cutting highs and tight strong base. VERY TRANSPARENT. ZX1-90 are good for their size but are what they are.

Future Project

I was refreshing my entertainment system using bits & pieces from the existing one. The speaker cabinets were in excellent shape however the woofers were not powerful enough. I found these speakers & after reading the specs I decided that they were exactly what I was looking for. The project isn't quite finished but I'm sure these speakers will sound fantastic.

A: No. The Sentry 100a uses a discontinued woofer. Your model can easily be repaired by using our EV-FSK-8 foam replacement kit however.

A: Yes, this is the correct woofer for the ZXA1-90.

A: This woofer would work, however the original unit uses a foam edge design, and this unit is a cloth edge. We usually suggest the foam replacement kit part # EV-FSK-8 to repair the original woofers.

A: This is not a proper replacement woofer for a vehicle installation. However, you could install it wherever you like.
