Quick delivery, perfect fit

Contrary to the directions, I found it easier to glue the passive radiator to the original retaining ring removed intact from the back of the cabinet, them re-screw the entire assembly back in place. Attaching the foam edge directly to the cabinet is awkward since you can't support and position the passive radiator from inside the enclosure unless you take the speaker out.

Music Lover

My poor ESS PS 5 speakers have needed the passive radiators redone for a while. Finally got around to it and Wow! Super easy to install. I actually forgot how much better the speakers sound, with the new Heil AMT, they sound brand new.

EZ-PZ replacement

I have model 8 ESS from when I was in high school. The passive radiators totally dry rotted. I found Simply Speakers had replacements and decided to give them a try. I clean the left over glue off the old rims, put new glue on (included in kit), centered radiators best I could, reinstalled them in the box. The most time consuming part was cleaning the old glue and foam off the rims. I'm very satified - Thanx.

Work well

These work fine. I installed gaskets after I had the passive radiators installed, even though they did not have them originally. The were no instructions included for the radiators but the staff at Simply speakers is great to talk to if you have questions. Will definitely buy from these guys again.

Q: Hello Does the passive foam lip has to be glue inside the metal ring or outside ? All I see in pictures from the web is that only the roll is visible, so, the lip must be glued inside then. Is this right ? Thx again

A: Yes, the passive is glued on the inside (backside) of the metal trim ring.

A: These weigh 54g each. Should be fine for the LS5, other ESS versions may require tuning by adding additional weight.

A: Our liquid cone edge sealer is an optional brush on PVA coating that protects and seals foam, cloth and paper speaker surrounds. 1 oz. bottle and brush applicator. Goes on white, dries clear, and leaves a slight gloss finish. One bottle treats 4 to 6 speakers.
