I have had a Genesis Servo 10 subwoofer for 15 years and the foam surround had virtually disintegrated. I tried contacting Genesis and they had no information about the Servo 10 (the company that purchased Genesis apparently lost information during the changeover). When I looked at replacement drivers, the contact configuration didn't look correct-one set of wire connections instead of 2 sets. Then I found that Simply Speakers has replacement surrounds that fit the 10" Servo subwoofer. They come as a pair, so I have a future replacement as weell. I watched the video and followed the instructions that came with the surround and the 10" servo works like new. I couldn't be happier.

Back from the dead!

I'd considered replacing my 1976 Genesis 3 three-way loudspeakers for years, but I was aware that the deficient sound was clearly due to the rotting foam surrounds, so I took a flyer on one of these kits. With the help of a manually dextrous friend who builds acoustic guitars for a living, I was able to install the new foam in about an hour. Because I was only repairing passive radiators, I didn't have to re-seat the voice coil, making the job less challenging and go a lot faster. All in all very satisfied and since fixing my Gen 3s, I find myself listening to music more often than in years!

Easy enough

Worked great! Repaired all four speakers in one afternoon. The first speaker was a learning experience, but after that is was pretty easy. Hardest part was getting the remains of the old foam off.

Simply Speakers repair kit

The kit I ordered for my sub woofer came very quickly and well packaged. The instruction that came with the kit are very good and easy to follow.I was able to repair the sub woofer in a short time. In the instruction it says to work with the glue to get a feel for it and that is a very good idea. It will make the job cleaner and more professional in the end. I would without a doubt get another repair kit if I needed one from Simply Speaker again. Thank you for a great kit

These surrounds fit perfectly and worked awesome. This was my first time replacing foam surrounds. I watched a couple of simply speakers youtube tutorials before attempting this, and my speakers came out working like new. These speakers sat in the corner of a storage room for years. Simply speakers saved me from having to throw them away, and helped me make something that once was good to be good again. Money and effort well spent.

sound guy

Although it wasn't quite as easy as it looked in the video, made by the guy who has obviously done thousands, it was still fairly straightforward, and the video was clear enough to give me the confidence to do it myself. It turned out great and now I've got that vintage Genesis sound back! Genesis must use a non standard cone size for their 10" passive radiator, because the foam didn't quite fit. I didn't want to trim the foam, because you never get a perfect cut, so it overlaps the flat edge of the cone by a hair. No big deal, and it doesn't affect the sound, but if it bothers you, you could always trim it. Overall, I'm extremely pleased, the 8" foam fit perfectly on the woofer, and the speakers sound great.

Piece of cake

Took about 4-5 hours to refoam my Genesis II speakers over the weekend and it went great. Instructions were easy to follow, and fortunately, the real life install was just as easy. The prep took some time, but it was well worth it once it came time to glue everything. It is great getting my Genesis speakers working again. Highly recommend!!

I have a 30 years old Genesis pair of speakers. The foam surrounds are all dry rotted. I bought the 8" and 10" foam repair kits. They are expensive but they worked well. My speakers are in good shape now.
