SS Audio Recone Kit for 12" JBL 128H, 128H-1, 129H, 8 Ohms, RK-JBL128H

Thank you for a great product. The edge foam on the woofers in my JBL L112 speakers crumbled to pieces years ago and I took them with me to Hong Kong for a repair about 10 years ago. After that they looked great but sounded flat and were never the same and I suspect the voce coil and other parts were the culprits. Recently I stumbled across Simply Speakers recone kit by coincidence on the internet and decided right away to give it a try. And what a difference. After taking my time and glueing everything together with my fingers crossed not to ruin anything I could not be happier. The 128H speakers sprung back to life instantly with that crispy strong sound that I like so much about the JBL L112. Hooked up to my old Sansui AU-D11 and a new Yamaha CD player my life is back on track. Thanks again.

Well made parts, just like originals, everything fit together easily. the line ring on inside of voice coil was a nice touch.

I was going to re-foam the woofers (128H) in my newly acquired JBL L112s but after further inspection decided to re-cone them (previous re-cone/re-foam job was failing). I watched the Simply Speaker how-to videos before starting the project and had my laptop near me during the process. Taking it slow (can't stress this enough) and following the instructions I was very happy with the results. My L112s look and sound great. I ordered a glue kit for each woofer but only ended up using one for both woofers.

All good, works out well, nearly 100% identical. The original spider is black, the supplied one is yellow, but it works. Thanks to Simply Speakers for providing an excellent product.
