SS Audio Diaphragm For JBL 034 Tweeter, D-034

I was looking for a compatible replacement for the no longer available JBL 044 Diaphragm. The phenolic brown dome needs to be sprayed with silver frost and as the 034 diaphragm has smaller terminal spacings so 2 cut sections of the old 044 diaphragm terminals needs to be epoxied to the 034 outer profile. Voice coil dimensions of the 034 are compatible to the 044 magnet assembly.

I purchased these to replace the diaphragm in 044 tweeters. I separated the diaphragm from the tray. Heated up the glue with a hairdryer and then they dia came off quite easy. Then I painted them silver. At the end I installed the dia on the original 044 tray. The lead wires are very short but it fitted. Works perfectly, looks perfectly.

I received the 2 JBL 034 Tweeter, D-034 ordered in perfect condition. When attaching the connector to it, it was very hard.During installation one of the 2 broke in parts right away. The other one works fine in the speaker. Look like the material is fragile

The quality seems ok. Packaging good. The connectors are both male, whereas the original 034 had male and female. The connectors are further apart that the original 034 diaphragm, so the tweeter cutout has to be widened in 2 places to allow the tweeter to fit in the cabinet cutout. That's all or the JBL L46.

It's been a year since I order this after reading comments here for replacement for 044 tweeter. My L112 still sounding great with this tweeter. Very accomodating and nice service with SS team..looking forward to again.....thanks...
