Ordered from web site which was easy and straight forward. Arrived in just a few days - amazing service. The kits for the JBL Control 5's were good quality. I watched their instruction video on You Tube which was really good and informative. Carried out the re-foaming and the speakers sound great. My only one comment is only very minor. The glue tube has already been pierced but the hole is too large and therefore extra care is needed when applying. These are really great kits and they have revived my favourite speakers. Buy with confidence and thank you Simply Speakers!

Followed the online video ( very helpful ) and removed/replaced the old dried out foam speaker ring on both my surround-sound speakers. All went well and speakers sound as good as new.. Much better than buying a new set of speakers. Over all very impressed with this product and will not hesitate to do it again..

I had a pair of JBL Control 5s, where the woofer surrounds deteriorated due to sun exposure and age. I was going to buy replacement woofers. A google search lead me to Simply Speakers. I watched a view informative video and bought a set. I followed the instructions. The only issue was conflicting information regarding where the surround should attach to the cone (above or below). I decided to go with below, like the original. It added some complexity, but overall was pretty easy. I used a tone generator (my phone) and finished the job. So happy and proud I did my self. exceptional product

Fits perfectly, just as described. I ordered from web site which was easy and straight forward. The kit arrived quickly and was well packed. I watched their instruction video on You Tube which was really good and informative. After re-foaming the speakers sound just like new. I will purchase another kit to reform my LBL speakers as well. Thanks for a great product. I would have had to spend a LOT to replace all six of the speakers in our school cafeteria. In stead, I am repairing the foam as needed. The process was fairly simple, and there are lots of videos on line to help. The delivery took a little while (a few weeks) but it was worth the wait.

Good Stuff

Got 4 control 5 jbl speakers to refoam. Little hard since they glue from the back side but it's not that hard to do. Got 2 done and applied the foam sealer to the foam and the cone and dust cap. Wasn't needed but I did it anyways and it made the cone and cap match a little better with them new surrounds. I'd suggest you try it on a old scrap speaker first because the sealer is kind of thick. I'd say thin it with something and use a good fine brush and it would be a lot easier to apply and be a lot smoother than how mine turned out. I figured if I was sealing the foam why not go ahead and seal the cone and cap also.
