I acquired a pair of JBL L96's in fantastic condition except for the foam. Got the kit and bang, just like new again. Go with Simplyspeakers, quality is excellent and their adhesive is a little less aggressive which gives you more work time. Very happy customer.

DIY, Casual audio enthusiasts

These surrounds fit perfect for the woofers and radiators in a pair of JBL Lancer 77's. I attach the new surround to the frame first then add a line of glue on the surround that's on top of the cone. I then push up the cone up from the bottom and run a dental tool around the edge to guide the surround underneath the cone. I then drop the cone straight down on the surround making sure it is aligned properly. This has worked for me on all woofers where the surround attaches to the back of the cone.

Q: will this foam work for le111h ? there is a very small area for mounting the outside edge of the foam.

A: Yes! This is the correct kit for the JBL LE111H woofer. There is a thin plastic trim on the frame that you must peel out and then re-install when you replace the foam. The narrow edge of the foam is attached in the groove in the frame under the plastic trim. The repair is easy once you remove the plastic trim.

Q: I have a pair of JBL L110 speakers. Several years ago, I ordered new foam surrounds from you and one of them has deteriorated recently. So I need to order another pair. Question is: The optional foam sealer for $7....is that the adhesive that attaches the new surround to the cone, or is it something entirely different? I assume it has to be ordered "extra" because adhesive is not included in the price of the pair of surrounds at $29. Please clarify before I order online. Thanks Michael
