I purchased my JL Audio 10W6V2 new around 2005. Had it for about for a year before it developed a sizable tear in the surround. I was intially planing on throwing it out, but didn't due to weight and environmental reasons. I let it collect dust for a few years until I stumbled upon this website about year ago. I have changed cars twice since they and was determined to install a stereo into my current one using existing equipment I've accrewed. I was apprehensive at first due to the W6 performance capabilities but I did purchase the kit. Needless to say I performed the repair as specified in the video and low and behold, it performs just like new. I highly recommend this kit for a damaged surround.

Went just like the video, great fit, straightforward removal and cleanup great replacement. Careful with the glue due to squeezeout.

My first surround repair

At first it seemed to big to fit.(lol). I followed the video, which made it easy. The glue came out too fast and I ended up using way too much. I let it dry overnight, plugged it in in the morning, and it seemed like new. But I think I put it wrong because I hear scratching sounds. Its all good though, because I got the sub for free.

The JL Audio 10 w6 speaker foam was completely broken. This kit revived the speaker and it sounds great once again. I forgot how good this speaker can sound. Kit was easy to do and works perfect.

Shops in UK told me that my W6V2 10 inch cannot be reared,Simply speakers proved them wrong, this is an exellent repair and it does work my W6 is now pumping. Thanx simply speakers
