I've bought used Paradigm speakers a number of times on eBay. When the foam surrounds are deteriorated, I order new ones from Simply Speakers along with the glue and sealer. The repair is shockingly simple to make. There is nothing to it. In about and hour, the speakers are as good as new. It's a very cost-effective repair. I've repaired numerous speakers now. Very simple.

I highly recommend this kit! I reformed four V1 Atom's that I purchased new about 15 years ago. They turned out great. I'm enjoying them again. The project is easy and worth doing. Be sure and watch the video and follow the instructions. It took me about an hour to do the first one, and 30 minutes work to do the rest. Most of the work is removing the old ring. You will need to wait an hour for the glue to set two times, once to glue the ring to the driver and a second time to glue the ring to the frame. A few tips...Remove the back of the speaker. Pull the rear wall by putting your finger in the rear port and pulling. The driver is behind all the batting. Don't be afraid to push it aside to get to the driver. Remember to label the wires! Pull as much of the old ring off as you can. Next scrape more off, then soften the rest with rubbing alcohol to remove the final amounts. I found turning the speaker while removing the ring and applying cement was most efficient. These turned out so well, that I just re-foamed my M&K sub-woofer.

home use

Glad to have found your site and found the exact repair kit for my speakers. got these speakers at a second hand store for three dollars, at the time I did not know they were damaged. I knew they were a good brand and they were suppose to be working upon inspecting them at home noticed they sounded poorly but I saved them from the garbage with your repair kit. they were very easy to fix and now they sound great and I was very happy with your speed of del. and price. again thanks. One very happy Canadian.

Easy 1st time repair

With this kit I was able to refoam my Paradigm Atom v3 surround. I was able to do this after watching the video: had never done this before. Speakers sound as good as new.

Although it seems a little costly for a small tube of glue and a couple pieces of foam, it allows you to repair a speaker that may cost hundreds, so it is well worth it. Where else could you get the perfect sized foam? Mine came out fine. I found that neater results were obtained by applying the glue to the underside of the foam rather than to the speaker cone. I used the foam guard sealer and it is easy to apply. Time will tell if it fulfills its promise of longer life for the foam, since that will take 10 or more years to find out. I'll get back to you in 2025 if I am still alive!

Got exactly what I expected. A great set of foam replacements and some glue that performed exactly as advertised. This really is a DIY project that you can do in a couple hours. The materials are forgiving but take your time and you will end up with a set of speakers that will last you another 10 years.
