Homeowner

After many, many years of use my old Bose speakers needed cone tweeters. The T-125 did the trick. The price beat other dealers and the shipping was quick. Now, I can sit back and enjoy the music I crave.

2" Cone Tweeter T-125 review

Great cone for small/medium home speakers. Nice sound. This speaker requires little power. It is ideal to complement 3-way speakers with cones 4 "and 10", for example.

I used these to replace the blown tweeters in my old Polk R1 bookshelf speakers. Relatively easy to install (had to drill some holes). They sound great so far. I'll be checking with my RTA soon.

These tweeters are pretty good for the money. I used it to replace the tweeters on the Sony APM-078. I had to change the value of the xover cap due to it's 8 ohm rating. A little "hard" sounding. More restrained than the original. Perhaps some running in may help...............................Response from Simply Speakers: Yes, these will break in and should sound better over time. Also, try playing with the value of the cap to see if you can tweak them further if needed.

Audiophile

Exactly as described. I goofed and purchased 8 ohm speakers when my amp is 6 ohms thinking I would be easy on the amp. The volume is noticeably low - too low. I should have purchased the 4 ohm. But that's not Simply Speakers fault. They delivered exactly what I ordered, and delivered very quickly in the middle of the Christmas rush shipping season.

Q: I have a Crate Taxi TX15 battery powered amplifier with a physically broken 2" Piezo tweeter. It is now out of production, so I cannot be too "picky". I am looking for a simple replacement that will work without damaging anything. I am not "picky" about the new sound quality, but would like to find a "band-aid" approach. Do you think I could use the Simply Speakers 2" Cone Tweeter T-125"? Any other ideas?

A: We recommend our 2.5" Piezo horn part # T-1011GR. The T-125 requires a crossover design that is different from the type used for Piezo tweeters.

A: The T-125 is a tweeter. Your speaker requires a full range driver. We do not sell anything in that size for your application.
