These 8" full range speakers sound very good with a smooth high end response and good lows. I was able to eliminate the harsh piezo's in my guitar rig and still get the acoustic overtones that I wanted.

definitly a great upgrade to my wall mounted '30's style speakers, I refurbisned these boxes 12 years ago and used radio shack speakers good speakers too but wanted to upgrade the speakers when I purchased a new stereo thank you and I shall return if new projects come along

Purchased the 8" speaker as a replacement for a "rock" outdoor speaker. It was essentially a drop in replacement, some minor coaxing and adjustment, but fairly easy to install. New speakers sound GREAT! Nice looking speaker, big upgrade in sound quality to original. Whenever my other outdoor speakers need replacement, this is where I'll be shopping.

Q: Would these well as replacements,in Bose 301?

A: This model is a 2 way full range speaker and is not suited as a replacement woofer. We use our Bose 301 replacement woofer part # W-810.

Q: What is the center to center measurement for the mounting screws??? and the outside diameter. It's for an outdated intercom system must be weatherproof. Thanks, Greg

A: The mounting screws are 7.75" center to center. The outside is 8". These are poly cone with rubber surrounds so they work well in outdoor environments.

Q: Will these work for Bose 301 Series 2? From what I can tell, it all looks good

A: The W-8004 is a co-ax (woofer and tweeter combination on one frame). We normally recommend our Bose style woofer part # W-810 which is designed specifically for your Bose 301 model.
