Speakers performed to expectations. They were replacement for Pioneer speakers that were damaged by wind during a move. Stereo speakers are like new now. Good product

12" woofers

The foam surround and cones in my Pioneer DSS-9 woofers fell apart years ago and the speakers had been put aside. I've been wanting to find suitable replacements that would sound good but wasn't sure what would fit the enclosures without drilling a bunch of new holes. Recently, I started searching again and decided to take a chance on buying a pair of these. I couldn't be more pleased - they sound great AND fit the enclosures!

Perfect

Got one of these to replace a burned up woofer in some old Peavey speakers I picked up at a thrift store. Perfect fit, power rating, weight, everything. Sounds great in the little cabinet. Played music through it, acoustic guitar and a mic, and even just a bass guitar. Will get another one when the other woofer does, which I'm sure it will before too long.

Tight Woofer

I am quite pleased with the 12" Woofs I received.A Pair of 70's Vintage "Jensen Spectrum Model 540 Speaker" The cabinets are Walnut Va-near & True real Wood, worthy for New Woofs since the Foam rotted & $100 a Speaker re-foam seemed hazy. The Woofs in them now are just right for todays enhanced electronic Base, & also fullfilling with Classic Symphony fill. Should you spot a pair of Vintage 1970's GREAT Speaker cabinets rated at 75 watts & Higher. Please feed them some Simply Speakers LOVE! Plus the Jensen 540 with 2 Mids & Dome Tweeter is such a delight for hearing.Why CHANGED???

Q: Will this woofer replace a Radio Shack Optimus Pro SW-12 woofer? Excellent DIY videos!

A: This will fit many of the older passive Radio Shack subwoofers that use a dual voice coil design. Be sure to measure the hole cut-out in the cabinet! Some model versions use a 10.625" cut-out. Our replacement requires an 11" hole cut-out.

A: Sorry, not compatible. Your woofer uses a dual voice coil design with one coil rated at 4 ohms and the other coil rated at 2 ohms. This is unique and your best bet is to keep the original woofer and replace the surround on the cone.

A: Thanks for the inquiry. Check the impedance of the original speaker voice coils. If they read between 4 and 6 ohms, then this unit will make a good replacement.
