Excellent replacement to 10 inch woofer in my Infinity speakers that gave out after 30 years (give or take). These speakers are much heavier and built into a more substantial metal framework than the originals, which required minor work to the Infinity cabinets to get the perfect fit. That completed the sound is perfect. Thinking I need a bigger amp to drive these babies though. That will be my excuse.

The Woofers are solid. The low end responce is right there. I would buy them again if I needed more.

A lot of reviews talk about how speakers sound , I am happy to report these speakers don't "sound" , they simply faithfully reproduce bass sounds of music ! I am pleased with the rugged construction and the performance . I am not a rock fan and I don't know if they are capable of making rock music sound worse !!

I purchased two of these to replace the woofers in a pair of JBL 4410 Studio Monitors I have had since the late 1980s. The foam surrounds had finally given away in the original woofers, and since the original replacements are no longer available and I didn't want to try and repair the originals myself I decided to take a chance on these. I had to ream out a slightly larger cutout to accommodate them with a hand-held wood rasp, which was a bit of work. After installing them and hooking them up they were very flat sounding and unresponsive, but in a very short time - a couple of hours, really - they started to open up. I had to dial back the high and midrange controls significantly on the JBLs to get the right balance, but after several weeks now they're still opening up and becoming more responsive. They're absolutely great drivers and I have no doubt they will continue settling in. Obviously they're not the identical original drivers for the 4410s, but they're a great substitute. Very tight and crisp bass drivers.

New again
Wanted to upgrade my Infinity SM112s that I've had since high school. It was either refoam or go and upgrade. No hole modification, just had to swap out the old connecting posts and dropped them right in. You can reuse the original 4 hex screws or go to 8 with these. Sounds great, now they are new again, but better.
