After many years of use, the woofer in one of my Onkyo speakers basically disintegrated. This product was a direct drop-in replacement, so the speakers back on line. :)

Replaced woofer and all other speakers into 1970 heavy speaker set. Total of 8 speakers. All from simply speakers. Now have a new set for 300.00. Try and find that in the stores. Very pleased . Would do it again!

I was looking for a good 12" bass pro audio speaker for my two Cube EV bass cabinets. I am using a Hartke TX600. When I received the speakers I was impressed on how fast I got them and the quality of the speaker. I loaded my cabinets, did a little soldering and BOOM, my 5 String Bass was alive again. I hit these speakers with half power and a low B, wow, I now own a easy to carry rig that delivers the punch with one or both cabs, 8 ohm or 4 they sound awesome.

These replaced the Woofers in a pair of early 90's KLH speakers rated for 150 watts. They are Pro woofers & sound great, however they do take some power to get moving, if you have a loudness button or bass boost button on your amplifier that would make a big difference at lower volumes. They are great for bass heavy material, rock music and home theatre use where some low frequency sounds will make them move a bit more. Bass sounds tight & accurate with no booming. If you don't play music loud or don't turn up the bass much then you should select a different woofer. These are heavy duty.

Like a lot of people here, I replaced two old disintegrated rubber woofers in some home audio boxes from the 70's... and the woofers really sound good - good enough that I'm back hre to replace the mids and tweeters too. One guy here is right that these ARE heavy duty and I recall being advised these actually take some break-in time. To really get them moving takes higher volumes - but they don't disappoint. Plus, at a mile high in Colorado there's less air so that's about another 8% factor.
