12" Heavy Duty Woofer, Poly Mica Cone, 4 Ohm, W-12PC-4

I bought one of these to replace the blown woofer in my Paradigm PDR-12. It fit perfectly, I just dropped it in and screwed it down with the existing holes matching up great. It sounds better than the original and will surely last a lot longer than that foam surround junker.

The staff at Simply Speakers suggested these woofers for replacement in my Cerwin Vega 12-TR's. They quickly answered all of questions by email and recommended the W-12PC-4. Excellent choice, I have great sound once again !! One speaker had shipping damage and they INSTANTLY had a replacement shipped out to me. FANTASTIC SERVICE !! I wish more companies worked like this.

Paradigm Sub PDR-12 started making a strange bbrrrrr sound when it was hitting. Took the back off (grill cloth isn't removable) and saw that the surround had rotted and fallen away.... Got 13 years out of it, but it was dead. I did a google search and while a new sub would be nice and likely an improvement (new tech), I couldn't justify $600-$1000 (even $200-$300) for a replacement, especially when the rest of the sub is still 'like new' Found a link to Simply Speakers on a forum post and checked it out. Good reviews, good price, so I ordered it. Speaker arrived in a couple days, nice heavy duty box, well packed. Got the drill driver, a shorty phillips, a 12" phillips and a pair of wire cutters. Removed the back panel, took out the screws holding the speaker in, slid the old speaker out (I was able to leave the baffling in place), gave the interior a quick vacuum to get the dust bunnies and surround pieces and dust out (13yrs....) and slid the new speaker in. Holes matched up perfectly! Cut the quick connects off the wires and connected the speaker using the screw down connectors. Plugged the wires back into the circuit board and closed up the sub. About 15ish minutes start to finish I hooked the sub up, plugged it in and started playing some music at a relatively low volume to warm it up and begin breaking it in. Don't know if it was necessary, but a little caution never hurts and it was time for dinner anyway... Hour or two later, came back and cued a movie up. It was 'Wow' time. After 13yrs, you kind of get used to the system, hear it but don't hear it anymore, it's just there. I was listening to make sure there were no problems, but even with the awareness of there being a new driver, the difference was notable! I had to turn the sub down! I hate when I have to do that! :) Excellent product! Highly recommend!

Perfect replacement to bring my old Infiniti cabinets back to life. A deeper bass response than factory...NICE!

I also used this to replace my blown paradigm pdr12 and it fit perfect and sounds great! After doing some reading i probably should have gone with 8 ohms but it sounds strong at 50% volume and will probably never be turned up any higher.

The speaker was better than expected. It was definitely higher quality than the original speaker from paradigm. It took less than 10 minutes to put the new one in and have it thumping the house.

these speakers were exactly what i was looking for,great deep bass & the mounting holes were dead on…and the speed of service was ideal, i had the speakers 5 days after i placed my order thanx guys

Replacement of a Cerwin Vega bassreflex element. Exellent sount!

This speaker is just what the doctor ordered. The keyboard amp bass speaker that came originally in an expensive combo amp was junk in comparison. Wow, what a difference. I can really hear the bass now and for some reason all the distortion I was getting from the amp seems to have disappeared. I think the orginal speaker was under rated power wise. The screw holes in this speaker aren't spaced very accruately, but I was able to make it fit.
