Bose 501

I replaced the woofer in my vintage Bose 501 with this speaker. It sounds as good if not better than the original.

Love the speakers

The 10 inch woofer I bought from Simply Speakers fit perfectly into the Bose 501 enclosure and they sound great! The have a sound that matches up well with the existing woofer in the other speaker. It has equivalent bass but adds some additional midrange. I like it and would recommend it.

Better than ever !

My Bose 501’s live again! I inherited these from my father who LOVED these in 1976! They have a nostalgic place in my heart! Sound better than the original at only $45 each. The poly coated cones are much more durable and responsive than the original paper cones. Will use Simply Speakers again !

Next best thing to replacing the foam ring

Foam rings arrived only to discover the woofers had been replaced and the rings didn't fit. Sean was great at sending a return authorization and recommended these as replacements. Woofers (and ring credit) arrived a few days later, easy job to swap with the old ones, and the speakers sound great again.

no brainer

I bought a pair of these on the recommendation from Tom at SS. These were a direct replacements for the 10" woofers on my Infinity SM102's. Installation for both took less than 5 minutes. The speakers sounds better than new, really! You can't use the stock Infinity trim ring, but I think the speaker looks better without it anyway, thanks again to Tom and Sean, the customer service at this company is second to none.

Replacement speaker

The speaker replacement that I recently purchased has a much smaller magnet than the original. I was told it was the exact replacement. The purchase was easy but the sound is not what I had hoped for. Having said this, I will recommend your company to my friends. The purchase was simple and easy but I will do more research before my next one. I need two more 15” speaker replacements. A: No, this is a home hi-fi replacement woofer. Your best bet is our W-1058 (8 ohms each) pro speaker wired in parallel for 4 ohms total cabinet impedance.
