Speaker builder since 1969

I built new boxes for these to use with a computer and an old Technics 200w amp and T-520 tweeters to replace a set of computer spks with sub. The resonance tested out at 58hz not 46hz as the ad said, so I made the reflex boxes a little bigger, 0.75 ft. tuned at 48hx. They have a surprising amount of bass for such a small package! They sound quite loud down to 35hz before they roll off, but still respond even down to 20hz.(unlike computer systems with bandpass subs that die at 40hz.) The sound is quite powerfull and they don't distort even at ear splitting volume! I'm quite happy with them, they sound good with modern dance music, and classical quitar is sweet! The computer spks can go in the dumpster!

Bought one of these to replace a broken woofer on a centre speaker. Fitted it in a few minutes, works perfect & sounds great. They shipped it here to Sydney in just over a week. Very happy with these guys. Thank you.

Very Good Speakers

Vintage HiFi

Realistic MC-600 Bookshelf Speakers: Have a couple of pairs of these low priced (but walnut cabinets) speakers from the 1980's or earlier. Replaced the 6 1/2 " woofers with these new ones and what a difference in frequency range. They now have solid bass and are very listenable for a small office, den or cottage system. The original speakers probably cost about $40 / pair so this relatively inexpensive upgrade is a success.

speakers worked well didn't quite fit the box but with a little work the box was altered so they would fit. good sound.

Excellent purchase

I bought these woofers to replace 20 year old worn woofers on Pinnacle bookshelf speakers. These fit in great and were quite easy to install. They sound much better than the old ones. Only $70 to replace as opposed to at least 400 for comparable New speakers. Excellent deal!

I bought a set of these 6 1/2" woofers to replace a blown set from my Baby Advent II. I did have to modify the speaker openings but it was worth the effort. These speakers are better than the original Advent woofers that I replaced. I think I will also upgrade the Tweeters. Big improvement in sound. I am very satisfied

Good sound.

A few weeks ago the couple settled into a Pure Acoustics XTI that are affordable for its price, but the sound leaves a bit to be desired, I use a Pioneer SA-706 amplifier and the truth is that I have gained serious power and feel which has improved the sound quality, just say you are a 1/5 cm diameter smaller chassis, but with a small fix leaks were well placed without air, now I prefer my speakers when listening to any type of music and I like to vary much, the only downside is that shipping is a little expensive, and customs charges are very high, but I assumed since I found it impossible to find them at Spain.

A: The W-6PC is a poly cone, rubber edge, aluminum frame design, so it is more than happy operating in an outdoor environment.

A: This woofer will work, but is a bit overkill for your Bose model. We normally use the W-6028.

Q: I have an old pair of Boston Acoustics A40 speakers that I need woofers for. Is it the crossover that determines the power handling? I believe the BA's are rated at 40 watt max. Will these woofers be a good replacement?

A: We use woofer # W-206-4 for the Boston A40 series 1. If you have the series 2 version, the new woofers will not fit properly and your best bet is to refoam them with our BA-FSK-628 New-Edge-It repair kit.

A: For your model, we use woofer # W-6024. The original woofer in your SS-2002 system is 4 ohms (the cabinet is rated at 8 ohms).

A: Yes , as long as the sizing and dimensions match, the W-6PC-8 would make a very nice upgrade replacement for your Pinnacle system.
