I have an old pair of Infinity SM-80 speakers whose woofers needed replacing and it was challenging to find out which woofer was the suitable replacement part. The support folks @ simplyspeakers quickly responded to my question, recommending these speakers and specifically the 4 Ohm version. Left to myself I probably would have ordered 8 Ohm. The new woofers arrived-free shipping- sooner than expected, in perfect condition. Popped on two jacks, screw holes lined up perfectly, job done in 15 minutes. Best of all, they sound like new! Speaker performs as hoped.Its for a small practice bass amp that had a blown speaker.It is better than original and can handle the wattage of the 30 that the amp has easily

First let me say the servive from Simply Spaeakers was excellent. How ever, in a past Email I'd been told it was imply a matter of removing the old woofers from my Allison Fives and bolting in the new. The reality is the n=bolt circle of the new speakers differed from the old and required some modification to allow installation. They're considerably lighterthan the originals and though they sound OK it's impossible to compare with the old unless you have the capablity to play side by side.

I ordered these speakers as replacements for speakers in my Infinity boxes where the originals had deteriorated. Once I received them, within 14 days after placing the order and including the customs handling I mounted them immediate in the boxes. They were in perfect order upon receivemnt. The sound however is a bit different compared to the originals. The bass tones are a bit less in loudness. This can however be corrected partly on the loudspeaker boxes as well as on the pre amplifier. That is where the buttons and knobs are bulit for in my opinion. From that time on I enjoy listening to the loudspeakers again.
