The PRO Zx line of passive crossovers are built with high quality components to insure clean pure sonic quality. The Linkwitz-Riley design can be used with a 4 ohm or 8 ohm low frequency load via the selectable jumper. IQ coils are utilized in the low pass circuit to insure a low D.C.R and efficient clean power transfer. Premium metallized polyester caps made from Dupont film insure accurate reproduction of the low and high frequency circuits. Each PRO Zx crossover is built on a premium PC board backed by a rigid hard board to insure durability. Brass eyelets are pressed in all four corners to allow for easy rugged mounting.

A-1308 Crossover

This Crossover network was a lot bigger and heftier than other networks I could buy any where else. There are 5 holes in the board which fit #6 screws that I did not need to fabricate stand-offs as the board had a non conductive back I just needed to screw it down to the speaker cabinet. No fuss! The push-on connectors made electrical installation easy. The original speakers had only small cpacitors to separate the frequenciy ranges and the sound reproduction was marginal at best. I now enjoy crisp clear sound.

Crossover At Last

At Sean's recommendation I got a pair of these in addition to two replacement mid-range speakers model M-710 (reviewed on this site also.) My enclosures each have a woofer and tweeter but all I had for 40+ years were bass blocker caps. So replaced the mid-ranges, removed the caps, and rewired the three speakers to the crossover. The installation was easy - four screws and some solder connections. After having them in for a few weeks I am very pleased with how well they sound. Sean was right in his recommendation, my speakers are sounding 100% better.

this crossover works good in a speaker that I rebuilt.it has a 12" woofer , a 4" midrange , and a horn tweeter.

I contacted Simply Speakers by email to ask for a recommendation on a 3 way crossover with the cabinet and hole sizes I was working with. They replied within 24 hours with what they thought would work best. They thought that the A-1308 3 Way Crossover, 12 dB/Octave, 625 / 5000 Hz, A-1308 would be the best fit. I received the order in a few days and installed this crossover with a 6 inch mid that I also had ordered. I added the 6 inch mid to a cabinet with a 12 inch woofer and a soft dome tweeter. It sounds great!! I highhly recommend Simply Speakers as to their customer service and quality of parts. Thanks guys!

I have been refurbishing my 40 year old Cerwin Vega C124 towers. With the help of Simply Speakers excellent video I redid the suspension mounts on all four woofers and now have replaced the crossovers with the A-1308. I'm very happy with the results. The speakers are sounding great again. Thanks.

This product works well. I like it. The only tiny issue I have is, it is a little too big. I had disassembled my entire speaker so that I can put the crossover in there. Nevertheless, I am giving this product a five star because the quality is great. Thanks.

A: These are not compatible with the Infinity Kappa series. You may need to have the crossover circuits analyzed to see if there is a failure causing the low Emit tweeter output.

Q: Hello, I have an old set of Optimus STS1000 speakers. I believe they only put a few capacitors in them from the factory. I would like to install a real three way crossover in them to “clean up” the sound. I recently reformed the drivers with a reform kit I bought from Simply Speakers and it worked great. Can you recommend a crossover that would work best for my application?

A: Yes, these networks will work great as un upgrade for the Vega D3. Please note: These do not have an l-pad control for the tweeter.

A: If the crossovers are missing or damaged, and since the drivers are all in good condition, then replacing the networks is the best way to get these speakers back up and running.

A: Sorry, this crossover is only designed for 4 ohms or 8 ohms for the low frequency and 8 ohms for the midrange and tweeter.
