The PRO Zx line of passive crossovers are built with high quality components to insure clean pure sonic quality. The Linkwitz-Riley design can be used with a 4 ohm or 8 ohm low frequency load via the selectable jumper. IQ coils are utilized in the low pass circuit to insure a low D.C.R and efficient clean power transfer. Premium metallized polyester caps made from Dupont film insure accurate reproduction of the low and high frequency circuits. Each PRO Zx crossover is built on a premium PC board backed by a rigid hard board to insure durability. Brass eyelets are pressed in all four corners to allow for easy rugged mounting.

Welcoming back old frineds

For 30 years I have been hauling around the horns, crossovers, and bass speakers from a pair of Klipsch Cornwall cabinets. Long ago I replaced the standard 15" woofer with an EVM15B long throw bass speaker. I have mounted the bass speaker in an EV designed tuned port custom cabinets designed for said speakers. I have also built separate cabinets for the mid and high frequency horns in which the crossover resides. I am quite impressed with the crossovers performance rivaling any setup I have listened to in 40 years. The handling of a horn weighted system is great. It was also simple to mount with the provided reinforced holes. Overall I am quite happy with the crossovers.

Pioneer speaker rebuild

Used this x-over with a 12" 8 ohm woofer, a 6.5" 8 ohm woofer as mid and a silk-dome 8 ohm tweeter to rebuild a pair of aging Pioneer speakers. Result in sound is great - gave a potential frequency response range of 18 to ~22K Hz at 80 to 120 watts RMS.

I bought these for a project using it for my linesource configuration with a rare and high end ribbon drivers using two 18 inch woofers, 2 8 inch mid drivers with several super tweeters and horn midrange hybrid. I inspected the parts and design and find these crossovers audiophile grade and very happy with purchase. My project has not been assembled as I do not have cabinets made yet. I may copy the Emerald Physic's concept of using an open baffle cabinet design. Crossovers are highly recommended since it's a Linkwitz Riley design which is found in audiophile grade systems.

A: Yes, this crossover would work fine for MOST speakers with those diameters.

A: Each tab on the crossover is marked for the appropriate driver and polarity which makes the hook up very easy.

A: Yes, as long as you replace both the left and right channels to match, this crossover will work great.

A: These may work with the Column II system, but your best bet is to keep the original networks and repair them if possible.

Q: I have a pair of Acoustic Research TSW 510 with crossover frequencies of 700 and 5000hz. I have replaced the surrounds and will be replacing the dust caps. How would I know if I needed to change the crossovers and can I use one of your's or do I need to use oem?

A: The A-1309 crossovers work for your model. However, it is rare to ever need to change the original crossovers, and we do not recommend it unless the originals are missing or are beyond repair.
