4.3" Speaker Dust Cap, Foam Layer Over Screen, Infinity Logo, DC-4.3INF (SINGLE)

Through help from a Simply Speakers tech I discovered that the foam that is sprayed on the mesh screen on Kappa dust caps deteriorates just like the foam surrounds. Mine looked good but had weakened and during loud bass transients (think heavy kicks like "Iron Man") the caps would slightly collapse/dimple and the return to normal making a LOUD popping crack that sounded like the voice coils were bottoming out. Scared the crap out of me and sent me diving to turn down the volume. I was nearly certain that I had blown my expensive Kappa 8 woofers and was almost ready to replace them. Luckily I got hold of a tech here that had seen this before and recommended that I try replacing the caps first. These caps saved me several hundred dollars and I can now crank it up with no problems! Thanks guys!

While ordering my Speaker Foam repair kit I also rdered the new dust caps. They look exact. The foam kit gives you plenty of glue. A ring of glue, placed the dust caps in place and my speakers look brand new. When you think of what new speakers would cost, order the foam kit and new dust caps from Simply Speakers and you'll have new speakers.
