I have to refoam a boston acoustics A70 apeaker and what appears to be a foam like material that goes around the perimeter of the speaker also needs replacing. I assume this part is called a gasket? If so, which gasket should I order from you? Thanks
A: Yes. Please order foam kit # FSK-8 and gasket kit # GASK-8 for your model.
Q: Will this part (GAS-8) when used with the proper foam kit, correctly replace the gasket on EPI 8 inch woofers?
A: Yes! This is the correct gasket to fit most EPI 8.25" woofer frames.
Q: Will these gaskets fit the front face of Altec 403A speakers with an outside diameter of 8 5/16"? What is the gasket OD?
A: Yes, these will work with your Altec model. Gasket OD is 8-3/16".
Q: Will these fit an Advent Prodigy mini-tower speaker? If not, do you have one that will?
A: Yes, this gasket fits your model. We also sell the foam edge replacement kit part # ADV-FSK-8 if needed.
Q: Will these fit the woofer on the Infinity RS3000 speaker?
A: Sorry, no. We recommend removing and re-installing the original foam Infinity gaskets when you replace the foam surrounds.
Q: The gasket on the rear of my 8" woofer for SM-80 speakers were paper thin and didn't come off in one piece. I have ordered and received these gaskets as replacements, but they are much thicker than the originals. Do I install these on the rear of the speaker as is or is it possible to insert the razor thru the side of the gasket and cut all the way around to reduce the thickness somewhat? I think the speaker mounting screws will be long enough to work with the thicker rear gasket, but am concerned about the spacing and how it will affect the sound.
A: The thin paper gasket on the SM-80 woofer is not needed. You can duplicate the original by slicing a thin layer from it and gluing it in place, or simply re-install the woofer without it. The sound will not be affected.
My gaskets did not come of in good condition and need to be replaced. I believe this will fit the Cambridge Soundworks Tower III 8" woofer. My question is are these one per, or are the a set of two?
Thank you, Don
A: Yes, these will fit your model. These are sold individually.
Q: Hi, I am currently in the process of repairing some old Infinity rs4001 speakers and one of the gaskets snapped in half when I was removing it. Do you know if this will work on the subwoofer of an infinity rs4001 speaker? Thanks.
A: Yes, these will fit the RS 4001 woofer. You an also use the woofers without the trim gaskets...they are cosmetic in nature.
