Speaker Replacement Gasket Kit, 12", GASK-12 (PAIR)

I have nothing but good things to say about the product and service. I am an 82-year old woman, who watched the video and then plunged ahead into refoaming my 12-inch woofers. The first turned out great; the second not so well....so I ordered a second foam surround, and with great care in centering, re-did the second speaker, which turned out great on the second try. The gasket was reusable. All-in-all I am more than pleased to have my speakers sounding like they did when I purchased them in 1976! Thankfully the cones were still in good shape and accessible from the front of the cabinets. I would not have attempted cone repair, soldering etc. but, with patience and effort, and the video demonstration, the re-foaming process was not too difficult. My orders were handled promptly and I am very pleased with the outcome, although removal of the first application on the second speaker presented a challenge, the glue being fresh, and my attempts to simply soften the glue and readjust the foam were totally unsuccessful. For the amateur, if at first you don't succeed, just try again with a new foam set, using extra care in the centering process. If I can do it, anyone can....

In my haste, I damaged the gasket on the vertical driver of my M&K MX5000MK2 when removing it. I ordered these, however they are not a 100% perfect fit for the M&K driver and need a very slight trim with a VERY sharp knife. Having said that, once trimmed and glued in place they look fine and work as intended. If you can keep the originals, try to, otherwise these work fine! Many, many thanks to Simply Speakers!

Worked on the celestions i had, had to cut them to get them to fit, but no big deal..glue is a little expensive, but not a deal breaker

Not a perfect kit for the FSK-12MC McIntosh 12" Foam Speaker...............................Response from Simply Speakers: Some versions of McIntosh woofer may require trimming 1/16" off the end of each gasket segment before installing, Other versions fit perfectly.
