I was really bummed when I turned my Mackie SRM-350 V2 up a little too loud, tearing the seal around the speaker. The result was distorted sound coming out of the gap that was created. I explained my issue via e-mail to the folks at Simply Speakers, and was directed towards this product - not the costly repair that I was expecting. IT SEALED THE GAP PERFECTLY! Truly a happy dude now.

Good product – used in a less than ideal situation’

This is a very effective product; however, my circumstance was a little different to ideal. I had a rubber surround that was detached in two portions from the cone of a Vifa speaker; therefore, I had limited access. Things that would have assisted in my situation would have been narrower, longer nozzle on the tube with a smaller opening. As the viscosity is quite low, it flowed a little more easily than I would have preferred and the setting time was fairly short, so time to spread and attach was limited. As it was a warm day, this would have shortened the setting time. The great news is - my speaker performs well and doesn't sound like it's self destructing when there is some bass in a movie or music. Overall very pleased with this product as I was able to repair/rescue my speaker with minimal drama. Your repair videos are also very informative and well made - well done!

Awesome Adhesive

Was introduced to the adhesive with the foam surround kit I purchased. This adhesive is the most tenacious stuff I have used. It works great on plastics. Many glues, including the "super glues" do not work nearly as well as this adhesive. I've repaired sneakers with it. Good stuff!

Works like a charm

I started using this glue years ago when I repaired a set of Sony speakers, but have found a plethora of uses for it. This glue will work for just about anything that needs to be flexible but still take a lot of stress.

Develops tackiness at a proper rate - allows placement but don't have to wait too long. The viscosity is insufficient so it comes out in globs when applied with the tube facing down or at a down angle. It would be nice if a binder could be added to increase viscosity to similar to a light silicone caulking, or similar to a carpenters glue.

So far so good

Definitely something sticky stuff. Apply the glue and then let it get a little tacky before sticking what needs stuck otherwise it can get pretty messy.

A: This depends on the size of the dust caps. For larger caps, two tubes should be sufficient. If they are smaller caps (say 3" or less), then one tube will be fine.

A: Allow to cure minimum 1 to 2 hours.....longer is better. Overnight is best.
