Rubber Edge 10" Speaker Repair Kit RSK-10A (PAIR)

Thank You for resurrecting my JBL L56 Speakers. With the RSK-10A kit and the youtube video the process went well. I forgot how good these speakers sounded. Thanks again.

I was given a pair of vintage HED speakers with rotted foam edges. I put the new rubber edges on. PLEASE NOTE THE RUBBER EDGES COME STUCK TOGETHER SO IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE ONLY ONE. I actually glued the first on on then the second one came off. "Oh they did ship two.. lol" Once i got both speakers fixed i used the remaining glue to secure the mid-range covers, and tightened any loose screws. -They made it in a week undamaged through both US Postal Service and Canada Post. These speakers are surprisingly good. They can sound like delicate audiophile speakers when playing acoustic songs. Rock sounds balanced with good bass. They were made in the late 1970's. So there is no way they could have made them for the huge electronic bass in the future. Some weekend parties and i have yet to trip the breakers on the back. They put out huge bass and volumes with house dance music and other party tracks. So far these speakers live up to the hype and urban legends that people have said over the years. This product worked great in combo with the utube instructions. I used them to restore a pair of vintage 1978 Grafix speakers. This was my first attempt doing this. I needed to work out a little tricky problem with centering the voice coil, but after the second try it came out perfect! Even with having to redo one of the speakers, the cost was easy on my wallet and sure beat buying new. Now I have my system back from when I was a kid!

Good instructions, video was helpful and went a step further using an adaptation of tone generator to center surround during glue to frame. Much better than buying new or sending out for repair.

I was given a set of large, 1950's General Electric speakers. The foam surrounds were in segments, but the cabinets are made of nice wood, and the speakers had been close to top quality when new. Simply Speakers sent me a new set of rubber surrounds, not foam as had been original. The rubber surrounds were easy to install, and the speakers now sound very good. They look good and they sound good. I will now pass them on to a friend in need of a set of beauitiful, "furniture grade" speakers.

The product is great. The YouTube video on installation was very helpful. No problems with the installation and the speakers are like new.

I had some 30 year old 3-way, 10" Crown speaker systems, but the foam finally died. These were very good sounding speakers so I hated to lose them. The boxes were old, "theater gray", in poor shape, so I scrapped them. Then I heard about this place, so I decided to buy the rubber edges instead of the foam, (I hate foam!)and see what I could do. They arrived quite quickly in the mail, and I had both speakers repaired within 2 days! The rubbers fit perfectly, however I managed to get glue everywhere! (The grill cloth should hide that...) It's better to put the glue on the rubber edge first, not the spk cone. The glue tacks up very fast so put it on right first, and don't try to smooth it... I don't have the boxes anymore, but I tested the speakers on the baffles, and even when flopping about 1" back and forth, there is no rubbing or problems. They should work great, I'm quite happy, and will be building new boxes as soon as I calculate the new Thiele-Small parameters!

Buy perfect. It came well packaged. I repaired the speakers and work perfectly. Thank you very much.
