Works well

The Design Acoustics 10" foam repair kit works as advertised. It was an easy installation on the 10" woofers of my Design Acoustic PS-10As. Everything went on just fine. the hardest part of the install was prepping the speakers for the foams - cleaning off the old gunky foam surrounds. I let them set for an hour or so per the instructions and then re-installed. After what seemed to be only a few seconds the foam surrounds woke up and the speakers started providing really good bass. I am fully satisfied. And simply speakers sent the foams quickly after I placed my order.

Great Product - Excelent Service

Originally purchased the 10F kit without looking at the speaker, the installation was difficult and the speakers were quite dull sounding when complete. I called them and found out that I needed the 10A kit, which they sent at no charge, this was completely my fault for not looking in the first place. Installation was a breeze, and after a couple of hours of use believe they sound better than when new. Fantastic service, would recommend them and any of their kits.

DA Acoustic PS-10a Surround Refoam

Foams

Really like it, these gave a new life to my speakers! You have to be careful and take your time when you glue them. Not super easy. Great product.

Opinion on purchase of repair kit.

Recommendation of a repair kit type was spot on. Delivery was very quick and without any problems. I did not have encountered any problems when making the exchange. Would recommend Simply Speakers to anyone.

Novice

This was my first attempt at repairing speakers and it was a total success. I fixed my Design Acoustics Speakers in just a few hours and that included leaving time to let the glue dry. I was not as perfect as the person in the video, but the instructions were solid and my results are great sounding speakers. I would certainly recommend this kit.

Design Acoustics 10" foam repair kit

My husband repaired his speakers and they sound like new! He is very happy with the quality of the product. He will be buying them again to fix our son's speakers.

Recommended

The most difficult part of this repair for me was getting the old foam and glue off of the cone and frame. The placement of the new foam isn't difficult. The adhesive is excellent for doing this job allowing enough time for adjustment yet tacking up enough to stick the two surfaces together. The speakers sound like the day I brought them home 35 yrs ago. If you have an old pair of DA 10-A's lying around don't throw them away. Give them new life with this repair kit. If I can do it you can do it.
