Radio Shack Optimus 12" Foam Speaker Repair Kit FSK-12A-1 (SINGLE)

Video very helpful. This is a 20 year old Radio Shack passive 12" subwoofer whose foam surround was shot. I was about to throw it away. On line, I happened to see your video about repair and said why not and ordered. The repair was easy and the sub speaker suddenly looked brand new again. I have a Pyle 2x40 amp and hooked it up to the sub which is now "active." Sounds as good as my other active sub costing $$$more!

I purchased this foam surround to repair a vintage passive subwoofer. I cleaned the old stuff off the woofer and metal.that's where I spent most of my time. I installed the new foam surround. Let it dry, reinstalled the w[fee to the cabinet. Sounds very nice with two satellite speakers.

The foam speaker repair kit was perfect. I was able to repair the 12" speaker in my sub to its original condition. The video explained exactly what to do and the process was simple. Great product. Repair don't replace.

The replacement foam worked fine. The speaker sounds like it's brand new. Like anything else, it took a few tries to do a job I was proud of. That's not to say the first 2 didn't work fine. They work perfectly too. They're just not as neat looking (especially the first one)as I would have liked.

I have a 90's model Radio Shack subwoofer that I thought was in good shape. I noticed a strange sound. The foam surround was crumbling. I have used Simply Speakers in the past to repair two other older speakers so I know their foam surrounds work, and are easy to install. I cleaned up my 12-inch woofer, installed the new foam surround, and not only is the speaker working I think the new surround improved the bass tightness. If you have speakers that need only new surrounds, watch the Simply Speakers video and try it yourself. You don't have to throw your speakers away!

This was exactly what I needed to fix my sub woofer. It was easy to install and speaker sounds great.

A great way to repair old speakers that have disintegrated. Easy fix. A very affordable fix for what could be an expensive replacement.

My optimuss passive 12 inch subwoofer sounds better than ever, this reform kit is a perfect fit, this being my first DIY refoam I watched the videos and the install went perfect, the customer service here is top notch.

My stereo and phonograph had been patiently waiting for me these past few years. I finally got them out, set them up to find my sub-woofer was shot. I was looking at a new one, but I really liked the way the this one worked. It's a 'stool' with the speaker pointing at the floor. I looked around and found simplyspeakers. Looked at some u-tubes and thought - let's go for it. The worse it can be is I'll destroy my speaker and I'll look around for a replacement. I found my speaker had the foam glued to the back. Bummed, I contacted them late Saturday, assuming I would hear from them Monday or Tuesday. It was within an hour. They supplied me with a link showing me how to install it on the back. My glue job was a little more messier than how there demos were, but IT WORKS. Great Product, Great Support.
