MI-1291-8oz: SPEAKER ADHESIVE, WHITE, 8 OZ. BOTTLE

Used the product on NHT #450 tweeters that had lost the dope cover to the silk or whatever the dome was made of. Cleaned with soft toothbrush and alcohol prior to application. Was so happy with the results I coated the paper mid/woofer with it also and used it on a pair of NHT Superone tweeter and mid/woofer with foam surround. Seems to fit the application. Sound has not changed to my ear from the application of this product.

This glue is tacky even 3 hours later. It is gradually getting less tacky but I think it will take 24 hours to set. I used it on Klipsch, Bose, JBL speakers, and a Sony powered subwoofer. I found a small, soft paint/craft brush to give me more control. Do not use this on a vertical speaker. It will run. Put the speaker horizontal. It gives the surround a shiny appearance like I have seen on some speaker cones. If it works to extend surround life, it will be worth it. "Foam rot" was a severe problem with foam rubber surrounds so manufacturers went to butyl rubber surrounds I read but supposedly fabric material surrounds with impregnated glue of some sort are supposedly the best. The speakers I treated were up to 30 years old but there were no tears or rot to be seen.
