The installation of the foam repair kit was not to difficult. They required little trimming for exact fit on my Yamaha 690IIs. Sounds good as new.

What a difference a DIY repair makes!!

I thought my inherited Yamaha speakers were 'toast' because the foam surround had disintegrated.The woofer sounded bad. I needed to economize. Your instructions seemed simple;the price was right. Shipping was incredibly fast. The speakers now sound like new and can crank up just fine without static. One thing I might have done different was order add'l glue. There is a secondary gasket, and ran out of the adhesive. The type I purchased locally was a close match, but not exact.

First time - will do it again, worked great. Removed old glue with alcohol applied with cotton swab. Scraped clean with small wood chisel. Glued new foam on top of cone instead of under cone, much easier. Had plenty of glue left even though large diameter. Speakers were stored in garage for 10+yrs awaiting repair. Should have done sooner. Great to have big speaker sound again.

I actually ordered the wrong product for my speakers, but the product was flexible and versatile enough for me to apply to my speakers. It is tough and durable.

Good Product. Works better if you take your time to make sure you don't need to trim. I should have but couldn't wait to hear my Yamaha's again. Plenty of glue for two speakers.

The repair kit worked just fine on my Yamaha ns-590 the instructions were easy to follow and I now have a pair of speakers returned to as new condition. Mant thanks Chris Corps

The surrounds needed to be trimmed about a quarter inch to fit Yamaha NS 690 ll's. The shipping and communication from simplyspeakers was great.

A: Yes it does! The inside is glued to the back of the cone just like the original.
