Standard 6.5" Foam Speaker Repair Kit FSK-6.5 (PAIR)

These foam surrounds are a perfect fit for the 6.5” Pyle speakers found in a Gallien-Krueger 250ML amplifier. Very high quality product with excellent instructions.

Purchased 6.5" kit recently to repair old pair of bookshelf speakers. Kit arrived on time and repair went well, allowing restoration of the speakers to As-New condition. Only complaint I have is the significant extra cost due to US-CAN exchange rate & $20.00 US shipping to Canada. Unfortunately, that's the way it goes, but still more cost effective than buying new speakers!

Who would have thought it was so easy to fix a pair of speakers. The replacement foam came with the necessary glue and instructions. The most tedious part of the process was being patient and diligent in carefully removing all of the old foam material and glue from the cones and frames of the speakers. Instructions were easy to follow and the process worked well. These speakers now sound great.

BEWARE!!! The glue in this kit quickly expands the surround material, causing its edges to ripple, making it very difficult to get it to adhere to the driver's cone and basket surfaces. Using the glue very sparingly will help to reduce or eliminate rippling, at the risk of incomplete adhesion, due to the extremely quick drying-time of this glue, which also makes it difficult/impossible to adjust surround placement to assure proper alignment (and avoid voice coil rub). In previous surround kits I've purchased (from Orange County Speaker, which is sadly no longer in business), the glue was water-based (not solvent-based), which does not deform surround material, while readily (and permanently) adhering to all speaker cone and basket materials (metals, poly, paper, etc.), while allowing plenty of time to adjust surround placement and assure proper cone alignment (to virtually eliminate the possibility of voice coil rub)...............................Response from Simply Speakers: Sorry to hear you had trouble with the adhesive. In our experience, our clear MI-3035 rubber based adhesive (and the old OCS amber colored adhesive) are the best adhesives on the market that properly adhere long term to poly cones (as are typically found in Infinity driver designs). The PVA water based glues (which we also stock) are better suited for paper cones, and for other parts of speaker re-assembly. Amazing foam speaker repair kit. It makes the car sound like a whole new speaker has been installed, better yet an upgraded system. I'm planning to do my subwoofer next. Customer service was spot on. Everyone answered my question quickly and they were extremely quick with shipping also!

I have a Rockman XP100 amp. It is very rare. It started sounding very rough when I turned up the bass. So I decided to look at the speakers, And the speaker foam surrounds were completely gone. I thought about buying now speakers, but the original speakers were a rare Pyle w6520. I know I couldn't replace them. You can't find anymore. So I looked to get them repaired, but I came across Simply speakers that said I can do it myself. After watching the videos, I decided to try it. It took about 1 day to complete. My Pyle speakers come out great. My amp got to keep it's original speakers as it is very, very rare. Thanks to Simply Speakers.

The foam speaker repair kit was very easy to use. The Monsoon Stereo system in a lot of chevrolet Camaros in the 97 to 2002 used a proprietary speaker system that cannot be replaced by an aftermarket set of speakers in the doors and this foam Speaker kit allowed me to keep my factory setup.

I used this product to restore the dual voice coil sub woofer on my 1999 Saab 9-5 with the Harmon Kardon audio option. The kit worked perfectly although I only needed one foam surround for this job. So I have a spare for the next Saab. As always, the Simply Speakers fast setting speaker adhesive made this an fast and easy repair. I'll never go back to shimming voice coils again for a simple foam surround replacement.

Received product. It was really not as difficult as I thought it was going to be. If I ever need to do another repair I will use Simply Speaker.
