Anyone with basic soldering skills and a little patients can repair lead wires on a speaker. This product was perfect to bring a discontinued $250 speaker back to life. Thank you for a great product.

Great Product

I purchased this kit to repair a 10" subwoofer. It was easy to do, worked well, and is a better wire than what the factory used. I'm very happy with this kit. Shipping was very fast as well.

The leads seem to be holding up, it's been a few weeks and everything is working good. I'll have to pop the sub out of the box and take a look but I'm happy about the easy fix ??

Works as Advertised

A rodent climbed through the rear port of an old Sony sub and chewed through the lead wires. Thought I would have to buy a new sub. The replacement speaker for a sub this old was hard to find. Then I found this lead wire repair kit on the Simply Speakers web site and for the price, figured I'd take a shot at doing the repairs myself after reviewing a couple of You Tube videos.. Order arrived promptly and the repairs were fairly easy even for someone like me with minimal soldering skills. That was over a month ago and the sub is still working fine. I am very pleased.

Fixed

Went from a new $200 speaker to a very inexpensive fix. Everything seems to be working well so far, though I’ve not gotten a chance to really push it yet. It took a while to get to me. USPS takes a while. Overall, I’m happy. Thanks.

Tinsel lead repair kit

Bought this kit to replace the Tinsel leads on my 36 year old Cerwin Vega speakers. It has nice size lead, good adhesives and instructions. Great kit! It takes some skill with soldering as Most stereo enthusiasts are familiar with. I also purchased the replacement CV center dome caps, they were just like the originals.

Q: I have set of N-E-A-R speakers in great shape, but one of them have a lead wire broke from the cone, can I repair it with the wire kit? Thank you, Tony. ( Will the glue let the ampere's from wire pass through connection?)

A: Yes, this lead wire kit will work for your repair. The special black dressing adhesive included with the kit does not affect the signal.

A: Yes. The glue is used to cover the lead wire to prevent vibration where is it soldered to the voice coil lead wire.
