Things went well

This recone kit had everything I needed for my AR11s. They sound great now. Can't say much for the looks, but I blame my unsteady hand. One thing I did have a problem with is tinning/soldering the flex leads to the voice coil. It may be a good idea to suggest some form of flux to newbies, because that flex cable isn't the friendliest material to work with.

AR9 recone

There is an interesting difference in this recone project for this particular woofer, Upon disassembly the spider was glued to a fiber ring that I believe was used as a spacer to raise the spider location. This fiber ring was falling apart which allowed pieces to fall into the magnet gap interfering with the voice coil movement. I decided to eliminate this fiber ring and attached the spider directly to the frame. Not sure if anyone else noticed this "factory" error in materials used. Hope this helps future rebuilds.

Worked great on my AR 11

Kit was a perfect fit for my AR-11 woofer. The sound is great, glue provided worked perfectly as well.
